Crinkles

Ingredients

50 g butter
100 g cane sugar
1 egg
50 ml plain yogurt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
10 g Carla Holandký premium cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 pinch salt
140 g plain flour
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup sugar

Procedure

In one bowl, mix the softened butter with sugar, add the egg and combine everything together. Then mix the yogurt with vanilla extract separately.


In another bowl, put the cocoa, baking soda, salt and plain flour, mix and add the butter mixed with sugar and egg + yogurt with extract. When everything is combined, stir in a teaspoon of white wine vinegar. Leave in the bowl, cover with cling film and put in the fridge for 2 hours.


Once the dough has rested, preheat the oven to 160 °C and prepare two large baking sheets, which we line with baking paper. After taking the dough out of the fridge, shape small balls the size of cherries, roll them in powdered sugar (don't skimp on the sugar, the more, the stickier) and arrange them on the baking sheet at a sufficient distance from each other. Bake the cookies for 12–15 minutes

If the dough sticks to your hands, put a little sugar on them.

TIP: We will borrow the recommendation from Mrs. Steklá. First, roll the shaped balls in semolina sugar and then in powdered sugar. The resulting effect is better.
