Chocolate, especially the cocoa contained in it, has known and less known effects on the body. It has to be such a chocolate that has at least 70% of the quality cocoa. Perhaps the most important reason why people eat chocolate when we neglect its great taste are its antidepressant effects because chocolate increases the level of several hormones that affect feelings of happiness, euphoria and pleasure. The main ones that somehow affect our feelings include serotonin, dopamine, phenylethylamine and anandamide. Although serotonin is not directly contained in chocolate, the substances contained in it stimulate the production of serotonin - the hormone of luck. Similarly, it is dopamine. Phenylethylamine is referred to as a drug in love, not only to raise the level of dopamine and to be directly contained in chocolate, it is also washed out when two people are sympathetic. The last mentioned substance is the anandamit, which helps to provide a feeling of happiness and satisfaction. Thanks to the above-mentioned ingredients, chocolate relieves feelings of anxiety and depression and improves the overall psyche of a person.

Chocolate also stimulates the brain, thanks to the caffeine and theobromine it contains, but this effect is only short-lived. Also, flavanoids affect the function of the brain, helping to improve blood circulation. Good blood circulation in the brain affects his overall activity, heightens attention and alertness and exfoliates the feeling of fatigue.

Even a "cleansing" effect can have chocolate. Already mentioned above, many antioxidants are contained in cocoa beans. Even after their processing, cocoa and chocolate remain high. It helps the uptake of free radicals from the body and our organism are so beneficial.
